Look for shingles rated 110 to 130 mph, installed to the manufacturer nailing spec. Coastal Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester County homes sit in design wind zones that ordinary 60 mph three tab shingles were never built for, which is why we install high wind rated architectural lines as standard.

Heat, humidity, and storm exposure age asphalt here roughly 20 to 30 percent faster than national averages. Long 90 degree summers cook the asphalt, algae feeds on the humidity, and every storm season tests the nailing, so a "30 year" shingle realistically delivers 18 to 25 years locally.

It is our written 20 year guarantee that every shingle on your roof is nailed inside the manufacturer nail zone. Nails placed outside that strip are the top reason shingles blow off in normal thunderstorms, and it is invisible from the ground, so we put the placement itself in writing.

Yes, we roof homes and commercial buildings across the tri-county. Residential work is mostly shingle and metal; commercial work is mostly TPO, flat roof repair, and coatings on retail, office, and light industrial buildings.
